ARPC Welcomes New Senior Research Economist, Dr. Andrew Keller
The Agricultural Risk Policy Center (ARPC) at NDSU is pleased to welcome Dr. Andrew Keller as a Senior Research Economist. Dr. Keller’s work focuses on issues of competition, concentration, and consolidation in U.S. agriculture, with particular emphasis on the livestock and farmland sectors.
He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota. His current research uses firm-level data to examine structural changes in the hog slaughter industry, measuring market concentration and analyzing long-term industry trends. In the area of farmland, he explores consolidation patterns, alternative land ownership models, and complex legal challenges such as title issues and heirs' property.
“I look forward to contributing to ARPC’s mission through research that informs fair and effective agricultural policy,” Keller said.
We’re excited to have Dr. Keller on the team, bringing a sharp analytical lens to some of the most pressing structural issues in agriculture today.
