Education: PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Colorado State University

Ming Wang is a Junior Research Economist with the Agricultural Risk Policy Center at North Dakota State University. Her research lies at the intersection of agricultural policy and international trade, with a focus on the economic impacts of trade policy shocks, tariff changes, and federal farm programs. Her current work employs general equilibrium and econometric modeling frameworks to evaluate the effects of recent tariff measures on agricultural markets and to examine how federal farm payments capitalize into land values, influencing production decisions and the global competitiveness of U.S. agriculture. She also conducts timely analysis of evolving trade policy developments and tariff adjustments, providing policy-relevant insights to support evidence-based decision-making in agricultural and trade policy.
